Where does my work come from\, and where is it going?\nMost of us don't pause to answer them on purpose. We let the answers emerge over time\, or we let other people answer them for us.\nIn this 90-minute workshop\, Portland-based artist Vo Vo leads participants through a series of reflections and activities to surface those answers on their own terms. Working through values\, priorities\, and cultural frameworks\, folks take part in short guided exercises designed to distill the core of who they are as makers and as people.\nOpen to all kinds of artists\, practitioners\, and folks finding their way creatively and professionally.\n\nNo prior experience needed.\nAll materials provided.\n\nAbout the artist\nVo Vo is an award-winning artist whose practice spans textiles\, installation\, and social practice. Their work has recently been included in the 2024 Oregon Artists' Biennial at Oregon Contemporary\, Converge 45's "Social Forms: Art as Global Citizenship\," "Weaving Data" at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art at Portland State University\, and a 2025 solo exhibition at Elizabeth Leach Gallery. They are a Hallie Ford Fellow for Visual Arts. They are also an editor\, speaker\, educator\, curator\, and musician who has exhibited and toured internationally.\nVo uses they/them pronouns.
